              <text>Across the room is the children's section. Here, the same type of tables and chairs have been fashioned for children. Boys find here stories of adventure, bird and animal life, and facts as well as stories of airplanes and modern sciences. The entire front section of the room holds books for high school readers. The nucleus of this collection was the gift of Mr. Alexander McKernan. &#13;
More pictures adorn the walls, including one of Mr. James C. Atwater, and another of the Atwater ancestral home. Near the center of this section is placed a collection of pictures taken the day of the dedication and sent to the library by Mr. Atwater.</text>
