Description
A brief history of North Branford/Northford, from the 1600's early settlement of Totoket on a tract of land including the present towns of Branford and North Branford/Northford to the separation from Branford and its incorporation as town in 1831. Discusses the building of roads and schools in the 1800s, the farming and manufacturing in town to the establishment of New Haven Trap Rock Quarry and the building of Lake Gaillard by the New Haven Water Company. Coverage ends with the Connecticut Tercentenary years of the 1930s.
