Description

A charming corner meets the eye as one turns to look more closely at the interior. Perhaps the friendly tick-tock of the grandfather's clock is the reason, but without fail, the visitor seems to look in this direction first.
A doorway opens outward into an attractive hallway, where stairs lead up and down. Beside the door stands the great clock, a thing of beauty with its pieces of inlaid, its carvings, its beautiful face, and brass ornaments. Down one side and across the end of the library are hundreds of books from the Atwater collection. Here are chairs and tables where adults may sit and read, or just relax. Here hangs a flag with "The American's Creed", the "Declaration of Independence" and the American eagle and flag pictured beneath.
In the filing cabinet may be found catalogue cards for each book in the library. In the large drawers below will be found picture collections, and an album of bird songs, a novel feature, the gift of Mr. Atwater. On the wall near the clock is a painting of a Swiss lake. Other handsome paintings adorn the walls, all gifts of Mr. Atwater.
